Louis DeThomasis, FSC, PhD
This paper explores the Superior and the General Council’s challenge to become “Lasallians without limits.” In the Superior General’s 2017 Pastoral Letter, his first sentence captures that challenge for each us:
“Brothers and Partners without limits – or borders – is more than a geographic metaphor; first and foremost it refers to the call to personal and communal transformation.”
This paper discusses how we can accomplish the Superior’s challenge to the degree that we openly explore together how we may nurture a renewed, transformative and energizing limitless Lasallian love in our schools, in our pedagogies, for our students and for and among ourselves. This address was delivered on 28 February 2018 in Orlando, Florida, at the annual meeting of the Lasallian Association of Secondary School Chief Administrators (LASCA).
